Emilio Montemayor Anaya

Is a social anthropologist who works in museums; he studied documentary photography and audiovisual production in the National School of Anthropology and History in Mexico City, as well as certification programs and courses in digital photography, professional lighting and photographic theory in the Art and Culture Gymnasium.

Although he has not engaged professionally in photography, it has been part of his professional activity, both in imaging taking for research projects and in field work, as well as in selection and analysis of historical, ethnographic and documentary photography for exhibitions.

Photography is also part os his personal interests. As a result of studying the history and theory of images, five years ago he started developing projects in which the photo is the result of a joint construction, the result of a dialogue between the photographer and the people portrayed.
